Cannot sign in on DIRECTV app

When I try to sign in on the DIRECTV app it say it doesn’t have any record of my ID/password. DIRECTV technical support set me up with a new ID & password but it still doesn’t recognize it. It works signing on to their website, but not on the app so that I can watch TV. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

This same issue is happening on Directv stream. No resolution after 3 days.

Lets start with some basic troubleshooting steps:

  • Check for app updates in your app store. If an update is available, install it and restart your device.
  • Check for device software updates and install.
  • Close and restart the DIRECTV app.
  • Reboot your phone or tablet.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the DIRECTV app.

I have tried all of that. I was on the phone with 6 different DIRECTV tech support agents. And none of them has been able to help me. I t doesn’t recognize my ID and Password even though they set up new ID & Password. Seems as their developer should be able to resolve this problem. I see on line that many people have the same problem and DIRECTV doesn’t resolve it.
