Cardinal games
Used to watch the Cardinal games on channel 646 when it was fox sports. Since Bally sports took it over the games are on channel 671. Unfortunately when I go to 671 it says I don't get that channel. Talking to dish they say that channel is in my package as a local sport station but is blocked. Why is it blocked?

Just to follow up I go to channel 671 and it comes up channel not available. According to what I read channel 671-4 is in my package and shows the cardinal games but when I go to that channel all I get is the direct tv screen.

Check http://sm.att.com/283a96e2 to verify what is in-market. Also if a game is on a local channel, it typically will black out on the RSN as it is local for you. And MLB weekend games have special rules for the rights given to other networks.
If after that blackout still seems in error, try http://sm.att.com/f86dfe41 to refresh your service authorizations.
In the end, the leagues and RSNs determine the blackout rules.
