The HS17 has the WVB built in all other Genies need a separate WVB that is connected to the SWM splitter with coax to connect wireless minis.

If you're trying to add a new or replacement wireless and the Genie server is not in Add Client mode. Please select Reset Connection from the Wireless Connection Lost OSD on the wireless Genie Mini.
