Are you using the app or the browser URL? I never use the app on any of my Chromebooks. Full screen supported and works like a charm.

DirecTV Satellite and DirecTV Stream are 2 different services. You posted in the streaming forum. You need the satellite forum to ask questions. And you are correct, you need a player for the web service. Not sure if Chromebook support the web.
