Directv app won’t open

My DirecTV app won’t open. It shows the logo and spinning wheel, and then I get “unknown error” message. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times, restarted my phone, made sure my iOS is updated, tried logging in through the my AT&T app with the same results.   I don’t know what else to try.

Having the same issue and tried all the tricks.  On phone with Directv and they don't know how to fix and say they don't support the app.

I have been having this same issue on my iphone snd ipad since the 5.25.202 update and still not working after the last several updates. I have spoken to tech support and they could not help. I am getting very frustrated since I am eating through my internet data because my daughter with special needs can only use her ipad to watch tv or movies. 
I have done everything stated above and then some without success. 
Could aTech from. ATT please reach out and help us.

i also starting having the same issue a month or so ago. my wife started having issues. devices just can't connect to DVR to download or watch what is on our DVR

I have had same issue for awhile.  cant sign in says unknown error.  I have spent hours on the phone, deleted, rebooted, got new passwords nothing works.  when ATT bought Direct TV customer support went downhill big time.

Just really frustrating cuz I cant watch tv on my phone.

I suspect that it has something to do with the last update.  Update not always an improvement.
