DVR Recordings on Website via a Computer or Tablet(Surface) running Windows
Why is it not an option to be able to watch our DVR Recordings via the Direct TV Website on a Computer Desktop/Laptop or a Tablet that is not an Apple/Android that can install the Direct TV App. My tablet is a Surface so I have windows so installing an App is not an option, also I own a laptop and can't seem to be able to watch my DVR Recordings through the Direct TV website despite there being a Playlist Tab once I sign in, no recordings visible. Contacted multiple Tech Support and they said this isn't possible on the Website, my question is why is that not an option for those customers that would like to access our DVR Recordings on a Windows Based Device like a Computer or Surface Tablet?

DTV dropped support for streaming from the Genie outside of your home network and for streaming to a computer/laptop years ago. You can log into your account to watch the available programs. The app used to stream to PC/Laptops never got out of Beta testing.

Once upon a time, many years ago, DirecTV had a PC app called DirecTV2PC. It never worked well and DirecTV gave up on it. I doubt it's ever coming back. The best you can do is use some of your network's streaming sites to access with your DirecTV account credentials. Or consider DirecTV Stream service instead of satellite.
