From Roko or Firestick, how to record a show in progress?

I started using the app on some of my smart tv's,  no issue recording a show that has not started, but if the program has started I can not figure out how to record it ,  other than running to my tv that I still use the directv receiver on and recording from it.

I don't want to rewind it but record for later viewing.

Basically from what you are saying you are watching a show and want to record the show from the point that you have already watched.  So on any device other than the Directv Streaming box, you would need to do this, hit the ok button while watching, and then on the bottom of your screen you would see the record option pop up then use your arrow buttons to go over to where it says record and hit ok then it will start recording.  Hope this helps you.

Hi Tiger593 - yes you understand the issue.  The 2 TV's I am using are Toshiba Firestick TV's so using the firestick remote that came with them.    If watching the show, the center circle button doesn't trigger anything to record,  if I go back to the guide again doesn't seem to be a way to record something in progress, if I scroll right to the next show is easy to record that show or anything not yet started.

@mrsapman That is strange that you do not get the option to record.  What you can try to fix this is to take and uninstall the Directv Stream App from your TV.   Make sure that it is up to date on software there should be someplace in your settings to check for updates.   Reboot your TV and then reinstall the Directv Stream app.  Hopefully, that will bring back your option to record.
