HBO channel includes with HBO Max

I got HBO Max Streaming installed on my Apple TV and can connect OK. However I am trying to get to the local or channels 501-- on my DVR that are included with my HBO Max subscription via ATT Unlimited Plan. I am a DTV residential  consumer. The following is in the T&C on ATT

. If you have residential DIRECTV (excluding Puerto Rico), DIRECTV STREAM, or U-verse TV, HBO channels and On Demand will also be added on that TV platform. May be billed and then credited (excluding PREMIER package on DIRECTV STREAM) on that TV platform within 2 bills.

When did you activate HBOMax? Do your wireless and Directv accounts share the same billing address? You may just need to wait. The HBO satellite channels didn’t get added to my service for about a week.

Thanks. Activated HBO Max after I started my ATT Unlimited Elite Plan. Yes both account addresses are the same. When I log into att.com I also have the opportunity to switch between ATT and or DTV for management of accounts. The new plan started about 3/16/22. I spoke with DTV today who really did not seem to know what I was talking about but offered me trial HBO, Cinamax or Starz. Don't know what she did but I was on the phone for almost 1 hr. She did say wait 72 hr. So waiting seems like an answer. Thanks

HBO Max is not a streaming install service. It's a subscription you either pay for or get free. call into Direct TV and have them refresh your service.

@BLUFINS Not sure what you mean by “not a streaming install service” but HBOMax is definitely a streaming service. I don’t think you are understanding. The OP is getting HBOMax via their wireless plan, they are not subscribed through Directv. The “install” referenced was the HBOMax app on their Apple TV. The question is when will the satellite channels be added to their Directv service.

@sandblaster. There is nothing to install. The OP said I got HBO Max Streaming installed. There is nothing to install you either watch through the channel sin your package or through the app. I understand perfectly. I have AT&T Wireless and get free HBO with HBO Max. You download install the the app and sign into it.

Sanblaster is correct. I am the OP. I have not had an opportunity to contact Angela. The rep indicated that I should wait 72 hr. Assume that DTV does something on a certain planned basis. I signed int HBO Max with is streaming on my Apple TV. I believe that HBO Max is also available (501) on the Satellite but the other stations are not (for me that is at this time) I refreshed my box. Will work issue tomorrow.

You don't install the the app you just download it and sign into it.

@BLUFINS  I guess you’ve never used an Apple device. You do need to install the app. It downloads, then it installs. I had to download and install the app on all of my Apple devices, including my Apple TV.

OP here.

DTV Support fixed the issue I was having. I received an E-mail this AM from ATT Services indicated that I should check the changes. I have asked DTV to Post what other users should do other than I assume to contact them. Thanks all for your valuable input.
