I think you are talking about the DIRECTV STREAM Osprey Box but just wanted to confirm.

You can't add any apps to the DTV sat receivers.

OK.  Thank you.  But just for clarification - there are several apps already in my DirecTV.  Does this mean DirecTV is deciding which apps I have available to me at the discretion and not mine?

Also, there are options for YouTube, Hulu and others at the bottom of my screen when I turn my TV on.  How would I add a streaming service if I wanted to?  How do I get back to those items again?  Once I choose a channel to watch, those options available at initial startup never show again.

You have DIRECTV STREAM service, not DIRECTV satellite. I’m moving this to the stream side.

You can add apps by going to the Play Store and downloading them from there.

I respectfully disagree.  I have not purchased DirecTv Stream.  I only have the OnDemand option that is available when you connect your internet service to your TV.  I do not have any streaming services at all - or at least if I do, I'm not paying for them.

Where in the world would Play Store (an Android app store) be located on my DirecTv?
