Issue signing into Apple TV apps for ABC, TNT, ESPN, and many others

My organization has a DirecTV Satellite account and a few years ago we were always able to sign into numerous Apple TV apps like ABC or ESPN with no issues but recently any time we attempt to do it we get a page with the error message below (pasted from page). It also does the same thing when you try to sign into those same programs from a laptop or phone. So just curious if something changed or if we just aren't allowed to sign into these type of apps anymore.

You can check if your Apple TV has a recent update, and add the DIRECTV App to your Apple TV. We've updated all of our Apple TVs and none of that helps as we continue to get the same error message. And again it does the same thing when you try to login to any of these sites through a browser as well. So seems to be an across the board issue.

Have you tried getting the actual DIRECTV app from the App Store and logging in with your satellite credentials in the app?This will grant you access to all of the channels you previously streamed on the respective channel apps.

We've tried our login credentials on the DirecTV app as well and we always get this error message "Incorrect User ID and Password. Please login with a valid DIRECTV STREAM User id and password [Code:0017]). 

And we verified we are using our correct user id and password. Are you required a DirecTV Stream account to login to the DirecTV app? I was under the impression even a DirecTV Satellite account could still login to the app.

No. Have you tried updating the app or reinstalling it? You may have the old app where support for DIRECTV satellite customers was not yet integrated.

Satellite accounts can be used in the app as it combines both satellite and stream credentials. You may need to choose in the app that you are an existing satellite customer.

Additionally, is your account a commercial (business) account or regular residential account?

We have updated the app to the most recent version. Our account is a commercial business account.

That may be the reason for your troubles. Try contacting your dealer to ask them how to enjoy content on streaming or mobile devices

You were signed up with a DIRECTV dealer so I cannot answer that. Whoever is the attention person for your business account, ask them to contact the commercial business dealer for your account. 

If you call DIRECTV for Business they will just direct you to your dealer. Though, their number is 800-388-2505.
