New Menu rollout fiasco.
The other day DIRECTV rolled out a new update. I have yet to realize any improvements from the old one. The thing that really (Edited per community guidelines) is my two TCL Roku TV's open in the smart TV section and I have to select satellite feed to get to DIRECTV. It's always been this way and was no big deal until now. If I select the satellite icon it says looking for satellite feed and to check my wired connections. Happens on both TV's with high end HDMI cables. I spent a few hours Googling this and they had me changing a few settings and making sure some things were turned off but that didn't work. I have since found out by chance that I have to wait 30 seconds to a minute in the smart TV section for the TV programming feed to actually show up in the satellite TV icon it will connect. Why would they roll out a new system that actually messes up a TV. Didn't they test it first? Just what I had in mind spend hours trying to make my equipment to work after a forced update.

Just for some information if you google this issue it's not just me. You folks messed up a lot of TV's and made an update to a perfectly working and fast system making it slower and boggy with no apparent upside for the customer. Interestingly all my recordings I had before yesterday are all gone as well. Makes me wonder what exact conditions were right and for who? The monthly charge for premium satellite service is approaching a new car payment. With all the streaming services like Hulu Live and YouTube TV getting better you would think DIRECTV wouldn't be relying on their customers to attempt to fix issues with their updates when they push them out with no notice. Or at least have all the bugs worked out before they do. Now you want me to contact customer service? How about this. Go back to the geniuses who made the update and tell them, the people you pay and indirectly me, to fix what they broke.

My TV's are fine and they worked perfectly two weeks ago. I really don't care about the recordings. I was just bringing that up as another symptom of the update. At this point I'm pretty sure you know what you did so I'll wait until you fix it on your end. If not it will definitely weigh on what I decide to do in the future. I pay you $3683.28 per year for your equipment and to watch your program offerings. You doing things that change that to a point where it require me to contact customer support to make things work again is not part of that equation.

ever since the update, the Paramount+ app hangs up frequently and the video buffers and glitches... also hitting pause or stop takes a while...
Granted the paramount app is junk, but it shows that just the change in the Gemini firmware took away enough processor power that it is killing the paramount app...
If this is not corrected, I predict the next firmware update will render it unusable.
As it is, I'm contacting Paramount+ and cancelling my subscription if this does not improve soon... too many Gemini resets
