DIRECTV is NOT an ISP, only a satellite tv provider. So there is no such thing as DIRECTV internet. Are you referring to on-demand shows or something else? If so, are they not downloading to your playlist correctly? What is the receiver model, and how is the receiver connected to your home internet provider, wirelessly or wired via Ethernet? Has this been an issue in the past? Any error codes when downloading?

I think I might make myself a little clearer. I go to Directv website and search the guide. Pick a show, pick record to TV, and then pick record series. It states it has been added to the playsist. Then I get an e-mail confirming it. But it does not work. My old dvr system did

DTV doesn't need internet to set up recording from the website it uses the satellites.

This does not make it right but at least I am not alone, threatblazerod. Maybe someone out there will chime in and give us some ideas.

Check the DVR recording history of your receiver. Go to LIST, Recording Manager, and Recording History. Something titled ‘Booking’ or Remote Booking should appear on the list showing you had booked the specific series from your laptop. It may say cancelled because of a problem with the online guide where it shows programs that are not currently airing. When the receiver gets the command from satellite 101 to record a specific program, this contradicts with what the receiver’s guide shows so the program automatically gets cancelled.
As previously stated, you can check the Recording History to see if the program ended up traveling over satellite to the receiver to tell it to record the series.
