Recording deletion code 5

We have had trouble with shows being canceled. They all say canceled, mostly with code 5. The website I found says code 5 means "DVR recording of this content not allowed." In the notes, it says  "Verify DVR content settings."

What does this mean? How do I do this?

Hi @knight974757, thanks for reaching us. 

To get the DVR ready to go, there are some steps we need to follow.

1. First, enable access to an external device on your HD DVR. Go to your HD DVR and press MENU on your remote control.

2. Select Settings > Whole-Home > External Device.
3. Set External Access to Allow. 
4. Set Current Program to Allow. 
5. Set Recordings to Allow.
6. Confirm internet connection for the HD DVR. Press the dash ( - ) button on the remote control.

If the message "Internet: Not detected" appears is there is no connection. Follow the steps in Troubleshoot the No Servers Detected error message to fix the error. Also you can find more Troubleshooting for the DVR.
