Remote recording
In the past, I was able to schedule a recording when away from home using an app on my cell phone.. Apparently this is no longer the case.. I have the app on my phone and can see programs / times to record, but then I when I select record to a specified receiver, they are not recorded.. I went to my equipment listing on ATT page, and try to see what happened. The receivers listed have serial numbers but I can't find serial numbers on my receivers. only RID's and they don't match any of the HR-24's I have... even locations are wrong... what has happened?

Hello @TeddyJ, let's check your DVR together.
Make sure your DIRECTV app and your device are up to date because it might affect the features of your app. Please double check that you are using the browser from TV option to schedule a recording.
On the other hand, you can also find receiver information underneath the equipment or at the back in here.
Finally, In order to schedule a recording from the DIRECTV app, try to rename the location of your receiver, disconnect the receivers from the broadband, connect them again and make sure the app recognizes the receivers are connected. You should be ready to record content from your DIRECTV app after these steps.
