remote
turn tv on with black geniebut,off with tv remote only.2 blue lites on genie slowly blink blue for few minutes then screen says video lost 615.remote will not pick on screen troubleshoot or Qr.press ok and blue lites start slow blinking,after several seconds screen has directv floating around screen

one benefit of a public forum is to keep it public, to help others.
blue blinks are bluetooth, red are IR
sounds like CEC is turning your TV on and off (sometimes)
sounds like you have the typical issues of balancing the CEC on off between HDMI devices and having the TV programmed in to the remote also.
So your first issue is turning off... looks like pressing off (and seeing blue lights) means the off button turned the DTV client off via bluetooth... but the TV stayed on (due to the TV either not getting the CEC off command via HDMI, or perhaps you did not set IR control of your tv...
I think the "on" is working... DTV floating around is screen saver... try changing channels, all should be good.
I'd program the remote to turn tv on and off via IR if you TV is supported, as a first cut.
