Screen says turn on cable/satellite box is off will not turn on.

Need some more details ....

What "box"?  Model number?

When did this problem start?

Are you a satellite or streaming customer?

Have you tried pulling the "box" AC power and re-powering to reset it?

usually means your satellite connection has a problem..

I am assuming "triangular box" means "Genie 2 tower/server"
