Thinking about going from stream back to satellite

Hello community! its been almost 10 years since I had Directv satellite. I currently have Directv stream and have been with stream for about 5 months. I left Uverse TV ( which I Loved) but they quit giving out promotions and it got too expensive.

I like directv stream but there are a few things I don't like and I am wondering if satellite has the same issues. 1. With directv stream you can't extend your recordings like add an hour, etc or start early...the only way to accomplish this is record the program before or after.

2. When you go into your DVR recordings and you delete a recording.... instead of it keeping you in your recordings library you have to completely exit out then go back into it to view your recordings again.

These two issues are cumbersome so I just wanted to know is the satellite side of directv like I remember it being you could always add time or start your program early on your recordings and when deleting your recordings it kept you in your recordings ?

I see that you can use the gemini ( which is what I use with stream).....I understand there are different software versions for satellite and stream but should I decide to go back to satellite would you recommend I get the genie minis or go with the gemini? The guide in the gemini for stream is nice but the font is kinda small. I plan on asking for the genie 2 to pair with either the genie minis or the gemini boxes because I have ATT fiber and my gateway had to be in a place where I'm unable to connect a TV. Any input on this would be much appreciated because if the problems I described above now exist on satellite then I probably shouldn't change services... thanks in advance.
