too many active streams

how do i clear up too many active streams error.. I have a samsung tv when i try to stream i get the error message

This is the directv satellite forum. I suspect you have ATT TV, in which case you need to post in the correct forum.

Well @Texasbrit while I appreciate your swift response clearly you have no resolution and have no helpful advise but last time I check my bill says Direct Tv and when I use the apps on my tv I have to verify that I'm a Direct TV  customer ...... So I'm really confident in stating I'm a Direct Tv customer not ATT Tv but what do I know

Just to make sure you are using your DTV login credentials to use the channels app to watch their programing on your TV?

Hello Mrdvs27, thanks for reaching out to us.

To better assist you in this matter, please give us more information on the following:

  • What other devices do you use to stream?
  • Are you also using the DirecTV app on your phone /tablet or streaming from a browser?

In the meantime, please check what other devices are you logged in from. If you are only logged in from your Samsung TV, then try resetting your DIRECTV receiver by pressing the red button on the side, then try streaming again and see if the issue still persists.
