Unable to Delete Recording(s) in DirecTV for Roku

What happens when you try to delete a recording?

When did this problem start?

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the DirecTV App?

Nothing happens when I press the 'Red' button.

This has been happening since I started using the app about a week ago.

I'll uninstall and reinstall it and get back with you.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app did not work.

The "red button" ? You hold down the "ok" button to delete recordings in my library with the Roku app. What's the red button?

My remotes inculding the directv remote has a red button i use to delete items when i'm whatching from the satelite dish. So i assumed the same button would work with roku app. Apparrantly not.

I tried holding the "ok" button on my roku remote and my universal remote and neither worked

If you have Directv Satellite this is the wrong forum. You need to post in the Satellite forum (not Directv Stream)----moving your posts

I'm not using the Satellite. I'm using the app in Roku. Just making a comparison.

You can't use the DirecTV remote with a Roku. Use your Roku remote. There is no red button. Highlight the recording and you'll see a "Delete" option. 

That's what I' been using

When i select the item i want to delete I see no "Delete" option using my Roku remote.

You have to highlight the show you want to delete----and press down and hold down the ok button on your roku remote

That didn't work either.

Seems a like a lot of messing around to simply delete a recording.

Maybe I'll just go back to watching t.v. on the satellite.

I use a Roku and it works fine for me using the Roku remote. I go to my library----highlight the show then press and hold the ok button. A trash can icon comes up and a circle around it spins for a few seconds and then a popup comes up and asks if you want to delete. I have a Roku Stick and a Roku ultra.

I have Roku premier. Wonder if that has something to do with it.

@jamesj1 No. B/c I also have a Roku premier that I use as a backup. I just tested it and it works the same way as all the other Roku players.

@jamesj1 - are you a satellite customer account?  I know you're using the Roku DTV app.  But I want to know if you're using a DTV account that is a satellite customer.

If you are a satellite customer using the app (on a Roku, Firestick, etc), you may need to ensure "Allow Deletion" is enabled on your main Genie DVR (satellite) receiver under Menu > Setup > Whole-Home > Share Playlist
