Add an hour to scheduled DVR program
I have a program scheduled to DVR. I need to add an hour, bc the one before mine always runs over due to football. I'm new to this service but finding difficult to navigate compared to uVerse. Thoughts?

Not possible. Some sporting events will automatically extend recording time if they run long, but you can't always count on that. You'll want to setup a recording for the show(s) that air after your sports event.

You cannot add time on to a recording it would be nice if you could but we don't have that feature. My suggestion would be to record the show(s) that comes on after what you want to record. That has been the only way that I can catch the end of some of my shows is to record what comes on after. I hope this helps.

Thanks to both LitzDog and to Tiger. Interestingly enough, I should have been clearer in my original request for help, as I had learned that lesson from personally trying it several times, but confirmation helps. I'm coming at this from having been a uVerse user for many years, so you know where I'm coming from. My next effort was to try to find the program that I've scheduled for "taping" and then "tape" the one after that. Frustratingly, I know when my program is scheduled, and I know it is on CBS, but I cannot find it via searching by either of the two search routes offered, nor have I been able to find it via going to date and time of broadcast. If someone can guide me on how to accomplish this seemingly trivial task, I could get the job done. btw, I have confirmed that the program is in my queue for DVRing. Thanks in advance for any help getting me through this knothole.

Probably easier to set up the recording via the Program Guide rather than Search. Find the desired channel/show/time in the Guide and select "Record".

If you know the date and time your show is going to air then I would go into the guide and scroll over to the date and time your show is airing and then set the program to record that is on after your show that way you make sure that you have your full program. There is really no other way to set the program that is on after to record other than to do that unless you know the name of the show that is airing after and you say that into your search and set it to record that way. But in my opinion, you are better off doing it from the guide.

Essentially the same response. Thanks, again, to both of you. I'll give a go.
