App is constantly buffering

The app seems to be constantly buffering during programs.  I'm trying to watch the Dolphins game on CBS, and the app is buffering.  When it returns, the program is in Spanish.  This happened last night while watching the Heat on a different channel.  It buffers during other programs.  It is very annoying.  We are constantly going to the Guide Menu and going back to the channel.

Odd. I've been watching on chrome all morning with no issues. Have you tried restarting your router and computer?  Plug in an ethernet cable also and see if that resolves it.

Understood.  I will also have to try it connected directly to the modem and post back my results. No i have not tried another internet connection yet.

Apparently this has not been fixed yet. I live in Louisville, KY and have a similar issue. The stream buffers multiple times per hour. I do not have the issue where the sound switches to Spanish. Other than that, my problem is much like described by the original poster and the first respondent. Samsung TVs are state of the art technology. My ISP is AT&T (same parent company as DirecTV Stream). Downstream has been clocked at over 700Mb/s and upstream has been clocked at over 600Mb/s. I can stream any other service (HBO, Amazon, Disney etc.) without any issue at all. I even went so far as to connect the TV via ethernet cable to my modem/router with a certified CAT 8 cable. There is nothing wrong with my equipment or bandwidth. I have uninstalled/installed the app several times, each with no improvement. This is obviously a lack of data from the provider. Please rectify this issue.

Thanks ... I should have just read longer instead of posting. There's enough venom on this thread to kill 1000 men.

Yes, same issues here. I'm fed up at this point. I'm switching to Xfinity streaming services and leaving Directv. Spending too much for streaming that doesn't work is not good. I have the fastest internet services and my Samsung tv works perfectly with other streaming services execpt Directv.

I think i may understand what is going on here. I will need to try this next. But I switched my TV to GAME MODE and so far it has been working far better. So i think the limitation is with my Television causing this issue. It may be something with my televisions refresh rate but i will try it on my monitor soon.

I also have constant buffering and lag with DirectTV Stream. Such a waste of money. We bought another router and put it right next to the TV. Tested internet upload and download speed. I am so over DirectTV.

linda - what streaming device are  you using? If it's the samsung app, it's garbage, lots of posts about it with recommendations.

DirectTV Stream finally corrected the issues with the Samsung TV App. The last update was about 3 weeks ago, I agree it's been painful to use the service for the previous 5 months but at the moment the App is working fine.

If you're using another device, I can't say what is having glitch problems.

I am using a firecube. But I also tried using the directtv app on the Samsung TV directly. Still lags.
