Apple TV App inferior to ALL other TV apps and cost the most!

To clarify. I mean the Apple Directv Stream App.

...and just what do you want anyone here to do about it? Contact support and rant to them.

Do you have specific issues with it?  I don't want to provide any particular backing of the AT&T TV/DirecTV Stream developers (or Product Marketing or ...) - they certainly haven't been spectacular - but without specifics it's really hard for us to offer suggestions or for them to address issues.

And I'm not sure what the "and cost[s] the most" means - all the apps are free.  The Apple TV device is one of the most expensive TV streaming devices, but that has nothing to do with DirecTV.  The DirecTV Stream service is one of the most expensive streaming services, but that has nothing to do with the Apple TV device.  And neither has anything to do with that particular app.

You're watching a channel, want to switch to another channel, so you click the home button.

The cursor is NOT on the channel you are watching. It is on the menu. You instinctively cursor right to the next channel in the list because you forgot to scroll down from the menu to the channel you were watching.

It's the stupid stuff that should drive everyone crazy, but apparently everyone loves the app and has learned how to use it without questioning why?

I use the Direct TV app with my 1 Gen Apple TV and, I control the app with the remote from 2021 LG TV. Streaming wirelessly via an old Apple Airport Extreme router. Works like a charm.
