AppleTV Requires Password Every Day

Have you had an Apple update recently?

I'm not sure. I have my AppleTV's set to auto-update, and the one I am looking at right now is tvOS 16.1(20K71).

The logging-in behavior happens on all three of my AppleTVs FWIW,

Not sure what to recommend, if anything. Something changed.

Hello there. We are glad to help you with your login issue. Your DIRECTV STREAM service is pre-configured with auto sign-in to make it easier for you to start using it.
In this specific case, you can manually set up the auto sign-in with the following steps.
1. Go to your account overview.
2. In My streaming devices' area, select manage.
3. Change the selector from Off to On in the auto sign-in.
4. Follow the prompts to complete.

I don't have a section titled "My Streaming Devices". My section is called "Add Streaming Devices," and when I click it, it wants me to pay for a DirecTV Stream device.  Is there another section for me? 

That's on my laptop's chrome web browser. I don't have anything like that at all on my streaming device, AppleTV.

You will only see DirecTV Streaming devices listed. Then only if purchase from DirecTV Stream. 

They did not even read your post! Almost all info is based on the box.

Find an AppleTV forum. Post in there or search it--see if other Dtv Stream subscribers are having the same issue.

When you say Apple TV do you mean an Apple TV device or the Apple TV app? 

If it is the app, have you tried uninstalling and re-installing it? 

AppleTV is my streaming device, and DirecTV Stream is the app. 

Try re-installing the DirecTV Stream app.
