You can also try uninstalling/reinstalling the apps. I wonder if this issue with the Dtv Stream Osprey Box has something to do with it updating from Android 10 to 11. Maybe when that happened the apps needed reset.
Using a DirecTV Stream box you can also try going to "Settings/System/Audio" and try a different setting. Sometimes changing from Surround to Stereo Only will correct sound issues.

If you are using the Directv Streaming Box then yes, resetting the box should help with not having sound in the apps.

a restart does the trick for me - losing sound on Hulu and YouTube kids after Osprey is coming out of stand-by mode
