Audio distortion after local commercial insertion

I have several Roku units around the house, including a hardwired Roku Ultra on the main TV.  On all units, during or soon after some local commercial insertions, the audio becomes very, very distorted.  I need to either select a different DirecTV stream channel, or leave the Direct TV stream app altogether.  Audio is then normal.

I can identify the local break because of the localized nature of the business.  Also, at least in my market (Ft Wayne IN), they do not appear to localize content for the web app stream, and the breaks I see on the web app are different from the ones on the Roku streaming app.  I am not sure if this problem exists on Fire TV implementation.  It DOES NOT exist on the Google TV app, because DirecTV stream does not support that device with an app.  (That's another good question -- why not??)

The problem has existed since I signed up with Direct TV stream more than 3 years ago.  It is most evident on those channels with the most local content -- like, Fox News, MSNBC or CNN.  It doesn't matter which model of Roku I am using, from the oldest, lowest, slowest and cheapest to the latest and greatest Ultra.  All Rokus are running the latest firmware (11.5) and resetting the Rokus nightly has no effect.  It does not seem to have a fixed time pattern, either.  The only pattern I've noticed is the breaking for a local commercial insertion.

Anyone find a solution for this, short of moving to YT TV?

There have been a lot of complaints about this issue and even though Directv Customer service says they are working to fix this there still has been no fix as of yet.  The only solution other users have come up with is to just rest and reboot their Roku devices.  For us, Roku users it is not the best solution because it only helps short term until you have to do it again and again. So to answer your question there is no solution as of yet to fix this issue.
