Blackout then buffer and language change
Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but my service no matter what station I’m on will
blackout for a moment and buffer then whatever I was watching in English will change to Spanish movies or live sports it’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever experienced. What’s the fix for this ?

lol someone needs to revoke that ACE - Expert badge from bcbsncjlj. "keep waiting", "Wasting your time", pushing people to go for an external solution. You earned that badge with that kinda "expert" advice?
Most consumers purchase smart TVs to be able to avoid adding external devices.
I'm in the same boat as far as having issues with language switches with buffering on Samsung TVs, its also happening when streaming with my iMac (waiting for some smart ### comment about apple products now), no language switch but browser will black out, and sound will keep going. Any other streaming application works just fine... ie: Hulu, Netflix, Disney+. Its not my Internet 500 u/d fiber with nothing else on my network experiencing any drops. Makes me think its the application update that DTV just pushed out for Samsung TVs, wondering if they can just revert until they figure out the issue.
I was hoping to come to this forum to find a quick fix that I may have missed on my own, and rarely ever leave a comment, but some of these responses to the OP are funny to say the least.

Yah but the Samsung TV store / apps are not as good as other external devices. Just a fact.

@DIRECTVhelp was working fine before the application updates. Any chance we can get that reverted to the older version? or is that a question for Samsung support?
How bout some updates regarding what DTV may or may not be doing?

What do you think? Are you seriously waiting for an update? Get a true streaming device and forget about these built-in devices.

I would like to see DirecTV own up to its contractual and/or implied agreements.
If the lack of service or substandard service continues, I wouldn't be surprised if a (Edited per community guidelines) wasn't brought against the company.

Appears to be just as much fault of Samsung as DirecTv Stream. Seems Samsung should act against DirecTV Stream. No one wants to take ownership.

Samsung has just as much liability as DirecTV Stream.

We don't pay Samsung a monthly fee for services. DirecTV solicits and implies services for a fee.

We shouldn't have these issues.....Most of us were quite satisfied with the AT&T App. I know I was and I didn't have any problems.

You were just lucky. The app has always been erratic since its original conception a few years ago. Subscribers have been complaining forever. Resources have never been provided to improve the app.

This thread has run its course. Until Samsung & DirecTV are able to fix their App, the only workaround is to use a separate streaming device (Roku, Fire, AppleTV, or DirecTV Stream box).
