Can you have more than 1 streaming device or remote in a home?

My daughter's samsung smart tv remote does not have numbers. If possible she would like to have her own direct tv streaming remote to schedule recordings, change channels, etc.

Yes, you can have multiple DirecTV Stream devices in your home. Only the DirecTV Stream box and its remote support direct channel number entry.

Yes, you can have up to 20 streaming devices (Directv streaming box, Roku, Firestick/cube, or TV app, phone, tablet, computer, etc..) on your home network.  The only streaming device that allows changing the channel directly through number buttons is the Directv Streaming device.  You can buy a refurbished box from Directv Stream for $49.99 and you get a 1-year warranty with it and it comes with the remote.  The Directv streaming remote is not compatible with any other streaming devices.

Actually, you can have unlimited devices. But only 20 active at one time in your home. I doubt if anyone has the bandwidth to handle 20 active devices at one time.
