Can you use Firestick HD voice control with DirectTV Stream?
I've tried it and I've looked for settings to change but to no avail. It seems from what I found on the web that the Amazon Firestick voice control doesn't work within the DirectTV Stream app. When I try voice control to select a channel either by number or name, it gives information for apps outside of DirectTV Stream. I didn't look thru all the previous posts that came up with a search but didn't see anything even close to what I'm asking. Thanks

Unfortunately, the voice commands do not work with the Directv Stream App through the fire stick they also do not work with Roku either if you want voice control I would suggest getting the Directv Stream Box you can get refurbished for $49.99 though Directv Stream and you get a 1-year warranty that is the only way to use voice commands with Directv Streaming Service. Hope this helps you!

A few commands will work intermittently, but not all of them. Most voice commands only work from the Main menu of the Fire Stick.

No....but the Dtv Stream box has its own remote with a voice button you can use for commanding the Dtv Stream box.
