Cannot watch Bally sports network regional broadcast
Hello, I set up my direct tv stream service here in Charlotte, NC. I of course used a Charlotte address for the sign up process. I have had no issues viewing the local Charlotte news channels since I’ve had the service. However basketball season just started, and my fiancé is a Charlotte hornets fan. Luckily direct tv stream is one of the few networks that can access the Bally sports network. However when we tried to put the Hornets game on our tv by navigating to the dedicated Bally sports network regional sports channel, we receive a message saying that the owner of this content has not made it available to users in your area message. Which is obviously confusing. Location services are on, we’ve even factory reset our boxes. Same problem. Can anyone help us?

So I solved the issue by calling tech support. The customer service agent said issue was that the billing address on my card on file that is charged for direct tv stream(my old billing address was in Louisiana), is what determines my eligibility for which region Bally Sports considered me in. I just had to update my billing address with my bank, then update my card info with DTV stream. Signed out of my TV provider on my Apple products, and factory reset my boxes, when I logged back in I could view the channel!

They (AT&T and subsequently DirecTV) have always used the billing address as your "home" address, but they haven't always made that clear. Right now, it is stated in one of the "info" pages under Support, but you really have to hunt to find it - it should be stated on the "how to sign up" page or something else that would be hard to miss.
