Can’t fast forward 15 seconds on DVR anymore

What device are you using? 

I can. Am using the Directv stream box. 

Using the DirecTV Stream box I can fast forward and reverse the DVR for 15 seconds,  using the right and left arrow keys on the DirecTV Stream remote. Have you tried using them?

fast forward UI changed for me today as well - using firetv -- incredibly annoying. I really hope the recognize the negative impact and revert the change.

previously I was able to fast forward at 2x, 4x, 8x or 16x with an indication (both progress bar and time) of how far I had fast-forwarded. I also had the ability to skip forward 15sec. now when I hit FF I have an indicator showing 1, 2, 3 or 4. Time and progress jumps forward rather than smoothly progressing - it makes it really hard to determine how far one has fast-forwarded (given that screen content is not updated as one fast-forwards). there is no 15sec ff option now that I can see.

Using firetv. There is no 15 second fast forward button when a DVR recording is paused.

now to fast forward it is 1x up to 4x and it is jerky and doesn’t smoothly tell you how much time has been forwarded. The old att tv app had this feature for DVR.

Here is some important information that for you.


You can fast forward in live shows only from the DIRECTV stream box,and the fast forward for 15 seconds is available in other devices but only in the recordings.

At the end please try to uninstall and install the app again in order to fix the issue related to the how much time has been forwarded.

Same here, using Firestick.  One of the best DVR features gone.  Get it back AT&T!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with the issue of this new "update". I use it on my Firestick and use my dvr all the time. The fast Forward and rewind as well as losing the 15 second jump is the worst thing that could have happened!! Its jumpy and if you go to fast, when you press play the fast forward bar will bug out and keep going foward and backwards. This is the most frustrating update and really should go back to the original way it was. 

Same - I have the same issue on my firestick, i can no longer fastfoward via 15secs jumps.

I agree it’s frustrating! It’s now a guessing game with the commercials! 

I've reported the same issue a few days ago. It's very glitchy since the update. They say uninstall the app and reinstall but that doesn't help. It just jumps around. this needs to be fixed . this app is really frustrating to deal with. I can't even sign out when going to the sign out option. Also can't get rid of the "continue watching" shows even after fast forwarding to the end. It will automatically play 3 minutes of ads and then replay the next episode. Although I've turned this feature off. spending hours to clean up unwatched shows. THis app is really the worst functionally
