Can’t Go Back w/ Samsung Smart TV App

With the current app, routinely I can’t go back between screens. For instance, after watching something found in “My Library” if I want to go back to the channel guide, the app gets stuck forcing me to exit the app. I just bought a second Samsun which had the same issues with the app.

The Samsung DirecTV Stream App is junk. You'll have a much better experience with a $30 Roku or FireStick.

So, I gave up on the Samsung TV app and bought a firestick. My other TV is a Roku and I have no issues with it….only the Samsung! I will say that while the firestick works really well, DIRECTV has found an issue (that are working on) where the channel numbers and channel icons disappear from the guide. Even with this issue it still runs circles around trying to make it work on the Samsung TV. SO, I suggest investing in a firestick, Roku OR the DIRECTV streaming box to fix the problem and alleviate the frustration.

@Ppresident5150 the Samsung DIRECTV STREAM app was never really perfected in my opinion. The TVs never worked properly with that, hence the reason to invest. However, I do recommend the DIRECTV STREAM box as it offers the fastest speeds for the service, although it does cost a bit more than your average streaming device at the end of the day. Everyone has their preference.
