Changing Locations when travelling

I have two homes in different states and travel back and forth pretty often.  I was told when I signed up that I can change home locations to view local programming while I am in that location.  However, when I looked at changing the location, it says I can only do it up to 4 times a year.  I guess my question is if I am in my secondary location, can I view local programming for that location and can my family can still view programming for the primary location?  If so, is the change of location only allowed up to 4 times?

If you have a streaming device with GPS or location services (mobile devices or PC or ATV4) it will auto detect your traveling location and provide the local channels if available. Roku and Fire Sticks do not have GPS or location services.

It depends. What streaming device are you using?

I use a Roku. I know YouTube TV can identify my location and thought I could change locations with DirecTV Stream.

Hi, @BigTex2022 thanks for reaching out to us.

When you go to another city, you can still watch local channels, either from your zip code registered or your current location. Make sure you enable location services on your mobile device so you can stream.
You can also learn how your location and billing ZIP Code affect local channels you can watch with DIRECTV STREAM.

I don't think that Roku has location services capability, so your local stations will be based on your billing zip code.  Your smartphone/tablet, however, should automatically reflect your current location.

Once again they don't read. OP stated Roku not a mobile device. The replies are really potful. Very obvious they only work from scripts.
