Channel for ABC not responding property to voice activation
The only way we can get ABC to select properly using voice activation is to request A&E channel, then manually move up one channel in the guide. This is not set specific, but for all TVs in our house. If we say ABC, the set/box responds with "Here's ABC on the Google Play Store" and we are prompted on-screen to Install ABC application. Is ABC channel no longer available and only through an app now?

Try saying this. "Change channel to ABC." Mine did the same thing when I said ABC into the remote it changed to the google play store but when I said to change the channel to ABC it changed to ABC for me. Or you could even say the channel number also.

Have you tried doing a red button reset on your Directv Streaming Box?

Yes, I did that just now on one of the four sets and it made no difference.

It seems that a recent software update to the DirectTV streaming receivers has prioritized Apps over Channels. If you don't specify "ABC Channel", it assumes you want the App. Saying the word Channel further refines the search and produces what I expected.
