How do I permanently turn off close captioning when using app? I turn it off then when I change channels it comes back on.

To turn them off permanently, make sure you're changing it in the main Settings menu of the app rather than the quick-button on the screen. We are doing that already. Happens on a Samsung TV and a Roku TV. Maybe I’ll try clearing cache

Clearing the cache is a great call! If that doesn't do the trick, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app on both your Samsung and Roku TVs. That usually forces the app to reset and remember your permanent settings. Keep us posted! Charles, DIRECTV Community Team
