Congested Service
I keep getting the error that the service is congested, the streaming stops and we end up missing parts of the shows we are watching. Is there a fix for this soon? It's very frustrating.

What streaming device are you using?
What's your internet download speed?
How is your streaming device connected to your home network?
When did the problem start?

Frankly, my thoughts on much of the issues at hand stems from streaming services that are oversold stressing their data backbone. Named Services just can't maintain a customer base that exceeds their ability to supply.

@g_mingolelli , that may be true. But that doesn't help the OP. Streaming services rely on fast and reliable internet access, and not everyone has that.

@g_mingolelli Tell that to the millions of folks living in rural areas without access to fast, or even any, internet.

@janiceballard , how is your Firestick connected to your home network? Your WiFi connection may be much slower than 50Mbps by the time your router's signal reaches the FireStick antenna.

Through the internet. How else do you connect a fire stick?

Well how do you connect to the internet: WiFi or Ethernet

I'm guessing that your Firestick connects via WiFi, not a direct ethernet cable. Like I said, your actual download speed via WiFi at the Firestick's location may be much slower.

Your speed could absolutely be lower than 50 Mbps. How far away is the fire Stick from the cable modem? If you get a lower cost fire stick those Wi-Fi antennas are not the strongest same thing with the lower cost Roku devices the more distance from your source of incoming internet the lower chance of getting the best optimal speeds and service.

Fix it? How? No congestion here. You need to evaluate your environment being router, modem, or ISP. There is nothing to fix. If you are having congestion then something in your data path is slowing the transmission down.
