Connection speed and broadcast resolution

Is there a way to see your connection speed (Mbps) and/or broadcast resolution being transmitted? My TV Display button shows 4k but that's because it's up-scaled. I am viewing on my Sony 4k TV.

Question:   It has been said here that ethernet adapter on DTV Stream box is only 10/100.
So I assume that means a speed test won’t show over 100.

If you connect the DTV Stream box through WiFi and your home internet speed is 200+….  Will a speed test on the DTV box then show the higher internet speed????

Yes it will show higher I've tried it. But you don't need speeds that high to use Dtv stream and using ethernet is more stable.

Thanks Lud.

I’m planning on getting a 4k tv here shortly, and I also been looking at an ATT internet/DTV Stream bundle.

But so far….  I’ve not seen any Channel’s in DTV Stream that broadcast in 4k.    Is that correct or not correct statement?

There is no 4K content from DirecTV Stream. Also, ATT and DirecTV/DirectVStream are 2 different companies now and bundling is not available.

Thanks Bcbs for the 4k channel info.

But on the ATT Internet/Directv Stream bundle….  It is offered on ATT website.

https://www.att.com/internet/fiber-available/?address_Id=00000JBI5Z

If you go to this link…. Pan about 1/2 way down the page… it shows the offer.

I understand ATT and DTV sat/DTV stream are separate ….  But ATT is still offering a bundle.

Thanks your you info though.

Oh no problem bcbs….   I appreciate your reply on the 4k channels and that was very helpful to me.

And no disrespect on the bundles….  Things are changing every day.

Thanks again for your helpful input.
