content no longer available 60 minutes after starting, frustrated

Watching Yellowstone, Season 4 episode 7 about 60 minutes in to the show (two thirds),  I get the content is no longer available.  Returning to Yellowstone in the DTV Stream app I find season 4 episodes 1-5 available for viewing and 8 and 9.  Episode 6 and 7 no longer available.  I opened a support chat with DTV Stream and was only told the content had not been released by paramount.  The support chat was about as frustrating as having the content pulled while I was watching.

Just remember that DirecTV Stream does not control the networks content that they do. Have you tried watching using the network app? Is the episode available using the network app?

U probably can't watch ep 6 and 7 on dtv stream on demand b/c those are both airing again on 1/2 on the paramount channel. U can set both to record but not watch right now.

U can watch those on their app though they are both there.

I have that suspicion also but like I said I was about 2/3 through the show when it abruptly stopped with a content not available message.  I blame DTV 100% as they get my $89/month for my 'go big' legacy package.  Additionally felt in chat support from a supervisor I was not believed because he repeatedly told me that Paramount had not released the content yet.    Late last night I did discover that all of the first 9 episodes of season 4 episodes are available on the free paramount app including 6 and 7.   Peacock has the first 3 seasons.  Paramount+ has none right now.

It's like talking to a wall with some people! Again, DTV stream does not control content availability.. networks do. Complain to the Paramount network b/c u have no clue what u are talking about. Also, that Paramount app content is not "free" That content is available to you b/c you subscribe to Dtv stream. And 6, 7 is not available unless you login with your Dtv credentials--I just checked.

What makes you the expert.  I don't pay Paramount.  I pay DirecTV and they provide me the login for Paramount.  When Paramount from within the DTV app  is not working it is a DTV problem.  They provide the app to from their app store on my DTV 'ospry' set top box from within their DTV application.  My complaint is not with Paramount or the Paramount app.  It seems to  work the way it should and has the content it should.

What @Ludwick577 is saying is that the content providers manage their content servers.  DIRECTV doesn't.  If a show doesn't get put on a server, it's the content provider that didn't do it.  If it gets removed, the content provider did it.   Yes, you pay DIRECTV, and you can complain to DIRECTV, and they might pass the complaint along to the content provider, but likely not.

JefferMC yes I believe the content providers can control content to their servers.  "if it gets removed, the contend provider did it."  I think  you are speculating as much as I am as to the reason the show became unavailable with 10 minutes to go.  Episodes 1-5 were still available as well as episodes 7-9.  Later that evening I discovered all of the episodes were available on the channel app.   I just find it hard to believe that Paramount made the content unavailable.  The content is back available today.   I chatted with Directv support and all they wanted to do was argue that the show had never been made available and that I couldn't have even started watching.   I am sorry if I have made anyone mad.  I have wasted too much energy on this issue and this will be my last post on it.
