Direct TV Stream App Buffering
My DirecTV Stream has bad buffering issues. I have checked out my internet service and tests fine at almost 600mbs. Logged into modem and ran tests for db values and signal to noise ratios all checked fine. I un installed app and reinstalled it on a S21 Ultra and iPhone 13 Pro. I am casting to Chromecast from my phones. Did factory reset on Chromecast. Tried 2 other Chromecast devices. All have buffering issues. Been in contact with Technical support for 5 days in a row, they are clueless. Gives you a run around , sounds like they just read what's on a computer screen. They can't do real time on fly diagnostics. Anyone reading this if you Don't need Fox Regional Sports channels stay away from Direct TV Stream. The app is clunky, if you DVR a show it can't be streamed to you TV you have to watch it on your phone. The app makes for an unpleasant user experience as I came from YouTubeTV but they don't offer Regional Sports channels. Doesn't look like they are motivated to fix anything or upgrade anything. My YouTube, Netflix, FriendlyTV, Amazon, Tubi streaming and apps all work great.

The current chat line I currently already have going with Rachel, she has escalated this issue to the correct department. But that's been like 3 or 4 days ago. Cross my fingers today I am not getting buffering as I have been keeping and eye on it all morning but at night during prime time heavy usage, it seems to be the worst. I used to watch streams with 10mbs internet speed. I now have the 1gigbs service and it's tests to my phone thru a wifi 5g connection at over 500mbs speed. Don't want people to forget that my YouTube, Netflix, FriendlyTV, Amazon, Tubi streaming and apps all work great. That pretty much points to the hidden issue in the closet. Let's hope today's good performance keeps going and no more buffering issues. I hope technical support learns from this all. I like the direct TV streaming as it offers Regional Sports Packages to watch MLB local team Baseball. Go Reds

@Huntindog Any idea (if any) what changes were made to improve your performance? Did they disclouse any information that could be shared with members of this forum for future reference? They certianly want share any information.

I just asked them and they said it shows it's been escalated. Will be fixed as soon as possible but it's been a few days since it's been put in.

The stream buffering issue is bad this morning. Still no word from my elevated ticket to Direct TV technical support. The elevation of my issue was done several days ago. They could at least keep me updated on their progress. Yesterday morning it was fine.

Still having issues with buffering DirectTV called could not hardly decifer her English but she said it was my Xfinity internet that was the issue. So I called Xfinity and they tested everything and I am getting good internet. So I sit here for almost two weeks and DirectTV still having issues. I will say once again YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, FriendlyTV, Tubi all stream thru my system perfectly fine. DirectTV needs to understand that they are the issue. People need to stay away from this Streaming service at all costs.

Fixed the issue just canceled my service. Found out I can stream Xfinity cheaper and get more channels.
