Direct tv stream dvr recordings have no Sound
We have direct tv stream. Live tv is fine. But all dvr recordings have no sound. Anyone have any advice on how to correct this?

What streaming device are you using?
How is it connected to your TV? AV Receiver? Soundbar?

I have the same issue. Reinstalled the App. Samsung TV has latest software version. Nothing helps. Everything is fine if I use the IPAd App to stream DVR recordings. No sound on the TV.

The issue is with the app for the Samsung Smart TV. The app is defective and very buggy. 100's of posts on the issues with the app. No fix. You need to use an external streaming device.

@jeffreames Poster is using a Samsung Smart TV not a DirecTV Stream box.

As I started the TV there was an announcement on the top stating that Apps have to be updated or Updates are available…. I allowed it and afterwards I checked on the recordings and the sound is back.

That may be just 2 of the many issues with the app that may be fixed. Use it for a few days and report back later
