Direct tv streaming different locations
I’m looking into getting direct tv streaming. I travel alot for work so I need to be able to view on a fire stick from home ( wife and kids ) and away ( on a fire stick ) at the same time . Is it possible that both my self and my family can stream on 2 fire sticks at different locations in the US??
I had this feature on YouTube tv but with then losing ESPN plus abc I will no longer keep them.

@tcochran88 Sure. I use it everywhere. I travel in a RV year round. Just remember that away from home, you are limited to 3 streams. Of the 3 streams, only 2 can be used with streaming devices. The 3rd is limited to a mobile device.

So If I have a second home / RV can I connect the Direct TV Stream provided receiver box at the second location and works as it does in my main location? I have already purchased the extra boxes

Yes, but you will receive the local channels at the new location. I travel full time in a RV. But I use Roku's and Fire Sticks. Details located here The key is you are limited to only 3 streams out of home, of which only 2 can be used with streaming devices. The 3rd is limited to mobile devices.

I am having error issues when I try to set up the box. Had no problem when I set up 5 at my main home.

Of course. It's just a streaming device.

Care Codes are DirecTV satellite error codes. Are use using the same login credentials for DirecTV Stream. If so, you need different credentials for each service.

Hey bcbsncjlj, if you are still out there ... good and patient advice above, thank you. Despite that, I still have not got my arms totally around whether the "away from home" device count limitations are only "concurrent streaming" limitations or whether they are simply you can't ever have more than that number of devices associated with your account period.
Our use case is not common. Totally boring older couple that doesn't share passwords with anybody. We're usually at home so that part is easy. But we do have small apartments in two different cities that we visit and in both of those we have a tv in the living room and a tv in the bedroom. So that's two remote LR tv's and two remote BR tv's, so 4 "away TV rooms" total -- and in each of those 4 rooms there is a Roku and an AppleTV attached.
Wherever we go, we always watch the same stuff on the same tv together, so concurrent streaming limits would never be an issue. But we've got those 4 away from home Rokus and 4 away from home AppleTV's, so if the limit is not concurrent streaming but just overall device count then DirecTV won't work for us.
Thanks for any feedback! ✌️

Streaming limits are concurrent. As a note, out of home network limits are 3 of which only 2 can be streaming devices and the 3rd a mobile (phone, tablet, or PC).
Streaming limit documentation is located here
