Direct TV

I did all of the fixes. All other channels work but DirectTV says oops something went wrong.  Unlike  some others who say it works for a while it doesn't work at all for me on any of my Roku devices.  It wors on my phone.

Which channel is this? If you’ve tried things like reinstalling the app, restarting the streaming device, etc. and have no success, please share the symptoms you receive on the channel. If it’s just one, chances are it is not your equipment.

We appreciate the tips provided by @detuch254 We'd also like to confirm, what is the channel or channels where you're getting this error? And, what is the model of the phone you're using? We can try to fix common DIRECTV app issues.

 

For Roku devices, we can follow some useful steps to fix streaming issues.

All channels on DirectTV give the oops something went wrong withe the content error message.   This is difficult too.  When I answer like this it requires login cluck post then loses my post.

All channels on DirectTV gives the oops something went wrong message.   This has gone on several days.  All other Roku app channels  work.  This is not my equipment it is a malfunction between DirectTV and Roku.  Please fix this.  $80 PER month and it can't be watched.

2 days.  I don't have time to do this anymore.   I don't know the ROKU MODELS.  I Have three.   They are different.

@idahojon, thank you for keeping us posted.

We want to make things easier for you. You can locate the model of your device from the settings menu of your Roku. Press the Home button on your Roku remote. Scroll up or down and select Settings. Select System, followed by About.

Does your IP location match your billing zip code? Make sure billing info on your account is correct. If that is correct, have you recently travelled and used Dtv Stream service or does someone else use your account elsewhere? That "oops" usually means a location issue.

Oops can happen for any little  glitch  in the streaming environment.Yesterday received the oops then the no network connection. Powered off and on the router resolved the issue for now.

Roku3930X Roku express model number.

I have done all fixes. Reinstalled app, Roku, modem etc.  Still get "Oops something went wrong. This content has an issue and can't play.   Give it another try or select something else to watch.  

This has gone on for two days, this is the third.  This has happened  before but then works.  Now it is persistent. 

I see many other people have experienced this.  I am close to canceling my Dtv subscription.

I have had Dtv for years with Roku.  Never a problem.   This is not anything I did.  I went to the chat bell as requested.   That doesn't work  either.

Well I finally logged into the Fox News app so I can watch the Fox business channel.   That and Fox news is all I watch on DirectTV anyway.  So the oops message on DirectTV continues for all channels.   $80 per month is too much for just that, but I need it to watch the Fox  News app.  This has caused me to look around and see that Fox is on Sling and Fubi and other places for less $.  I still hope to see DirectTV to get with Roku and fix this.  But now I know there are other options.
