DirectTV Stream loses video after a few minute but audio is still working

I am using a directv steam device connected via ethernet. After about 5 minutes the screen goes blank but the audio remains. I have already done a diagnostic reset and the problem is continuing. I tried using a different hdmi port, no difference. This problem does not occur when I stream to the same tv.

Does this happen on some channels or all of them? Have you ever faced this issue in the past? Please run an upload and download speed test on your DIRECTV STREAM device and report back both numbers (label them as well) so we can tell if poor/weak connection is the culrpit.

visit this website on a web browser on the DIRECTV STREAM device:

https://www.speedtest.net

Press ‘GO’ and it should do the test for you. Report back with the speeds.

I am not streaming from a computer. I am using  the directtv stream device(formerly ATT).

Yes, I understand. You can use a browser on the DIRECTV STREAM device. If you don’t currently have one, just go to the Google Play Store.

the download speed from diagnostics was 47.6

That should be sufficient for live TV streaming. I’m assuming that latency could be a leading factor as well. That would be the cause if internet is delivered to you via satellite (HughesNet, Viasat).

If you have any other devices, do they have similar issues? You can test this theory by streaming DIRECTV STREAM on a phone or tablet or even another streaming device.If using a phone, be sure that cellular data is not turned on.

I don't see a chat icon next to the bell. What I see is my profile icon. I also tried using DirectTV Stream from my Firestick and the same TV and the symptom occurred.  I can stream directly on that Firestick without issue.

I had the same problem with the stream via Firestick, I can stream other service without any issue. I dont see anywhere within the forum to see DMs
