DirectTV Stream remote

Try going to Settings/System/Remotes and devices/Program Your remote and see if the correct settings are set for your TV.

When I press power on the remote “Not Available” with the yellow triangle! shows up on the TV screen.

Check the DirecTV Stream box Settings Menu to ensure that your remote is actually paired to the DirecTV Stream box. Then you should be able to program the TV functions.

We recommend you to change the batteries of the remote to see whether it improves.

You can also unpair the DIRECTV STREAM remote control by:

1. Press and hold the DASH (–) and APPS buttons until you see the LED lights on the remote blink blue twice.
2. Restart your DIRECTV STREAM device by pressing and releasing the red button on the side of the device.
3. Point the remote at your DIRECTV STREAM device and press the FAST FORWARD and REWIND buttons at the same time to pair your remote with the device.

I am also having problems with the remote. I changed batteries to no avail, then took the steps outlined above for dielmanb and that didn't work. I get the box and sound to come on but no picture. If I press the input button I can see it is set to Smartcast (Visio TV) but won't let me change it. Even the tv remote will not.Listening to tv is fine but really, I could just have a radio for that. This situation is a little different but know that I have had to change batteries once a month and reset the box every 3-4 days since I switched to Directv stream. Suggestions?

I use my Dtv stream remote with a Samsung tv and it works fine.
