DirecTV Stream App on Roku experience intermittent sound issues

I have the DirecTV Stream app installed on Roku (I have a Chromecast TV with a Roku 4K stick).  I launch DirecTV Stream from the app on Roku.  The sound is fine for much of the time during a program, but will at time drop to very low volume or experience unbearable static.  If it is a recorded program, I can rewind or fast forward for a second and then play again, and this resolves the issue.  If it is a live program, I have to switch to another channel and then return back to the channel I was watching for the issue to resolve.

Thank you.

Is there a clear resolution to this problem?  I have experienced this exact issues for months in a number of different environments, with different devices (Roku stick --> TV, Roku Ultra --> AMP --> TV, Roku Ultra --> TV) and with up to date Apps and NONE of these environments ever present audio issues when using Netflix, HBOMax, Prime Video, Hulu or Vudu apps.  As mentioned above, I watch via that App for an unspecified amount of time, on any channel (or via DVR playback), and the audio becomes louder with static.

The quick solve (as mentioned above) is to change the channel or rewind playback to resolve.  This is extremely annoying in general but unforgivable when you are watching a live feed on delay (not recorded) and you have to change the channel to solve the audio issue but then lose you unwatched content (e.g. I may start a game and hit pause to catch up a little later and if I am :40 behind the live feed I then loose that :40 when I change the channel).

Please post a public response for the fix.

Not sure there is anything to fix. No problems here with my Roku's. Never had a problem.

This problem seems exist on pre-2022 Roku models (which I stopped using). It does not happen for me anymore on the newer Express 4K+ HDR model.

Thanks @BobL3364 but there is clearly a software issue that Directv is ignoring.  I had used the service for years with the existing devices and there were no issues.  Some may say it is a hardware or firmware issue but if all other Video Apps work properly, then Directv broke something in a release along the way.  I wish I knew the exact release number when things went off the rails - did anyone else record the release number?  Bottomline, Directv needs to do proper regression testing against a variety of Roku models and push a patch out.  As noted by others, this is an intermittent issues (I have encountered 4x today all at different increments of playback) so they need to adjust their test scripts for longer durations (hours) to make sure they catch.   What say you @DIRECTVhelp

The popular theory is that the slower older Roku models barely can handle the higher bitstream rates of DTVS. The higher bitrate is credited with giving DTVS a better picture quality. No one with actual data has confirmed this, or any other theory. It was stated somewhere that Roku software version 11.5 would help with the problem, but it seems that was not completely successful. The only fix that completely worked for me is a new Roku model. Others have gone to the highly regarded Osprey device. There is a new Gemini device now. DirecTV Internet is targeting the Gemini for its future. DirecTV Stream seems to be deemphasized. Note they split the services.
