Well, sometimes on open community forums there are people that know things, in advance, etc...apparently you are not one of them...so thanks and you can move along.
Have used the Directv Stream app on Samsung TV for almost 2 years now and it's not bad...just want the updated version. And in fact the DTV app is what Roku uses so putting Roku in middle now just requires more clicks...it does have the latest app with profiles tho. Guess I use that for now.
I'm an electrical/computer engineer so know how this works...my Sammy is a higher end model that is only about a year old and the internal performance/stream quality is pretty good...for now...but yeah depending on how long I keep this TV an external box will be required at some point.

Samsung TV app sux. I used it over 3yrs ago then promptly got a Dtv Gemini box. Even a fire stick or Roku are better than the TVs Dtv app
