Directv Stream audio failures

This widely known problem is easy to find on this forum, and Customer Service seems to believe that the fix is for everyone to create a new post, so here we are. As many others have stated, my streaming service via multiple Roku devices frequently goes in/out on audio...either spontaneously blasting and distorting the volume, or nearly muting. I've had this happen as frequent as a few instances in just 5 minutes or so, and nearly 100% happening at least once per sitting. This problem does not exist with other streaming services and happens on any TV or device, so it has been isolated to the Directv Stream app. Is there a plan to fix this? I am frustrated enough with the issue that I am nearly ready to cancel my plan.

Hi @MDview08, thanks for reaching out to us.

You can find some options to fix your audio issues in your DIRECTV STREAM app in the following link https://direc.tv/3UxSHiR.

Let us know how it goes for us to check further alternatives.

How many different posts does this forum have to initiate around this one single sound problem?  And why are we being sent to a useless link with no value in providing a resolution.  Obviously, Directv is playing lip service to us as valuable customers.  Time to look for a replacement.

I made the changes that were reported in another post to include:

Settings/Audio/Streaming audio format to Dolby

Settings/Audio/Digital output format/Custom - Dolby

These changes did not result in a resolution of my audio problems.  I have one more option which is setting my digital output format to Dolby Digital Plus.

If that does not work, time to look for a better TV streaming app.  Hulu TV is starting to look pretty good right now.
