Would it be possible to add NASCAR to the list of "sporting event" that qualify for auto extend? It is not uncommon for NASCAR races to be delayed due to rain or extended red flag conditions.

It'a automatic. No settings are needed. It's new and you may have some issues as they work out the bugs.

Hello @robertfklein. We'll be happy to guide you through this new feature.
Here the steps to use the auto extension:
1. Use remote control to find game in the Guide. Press Select.
2. Press Record Options.
3. Details of next screen include options to record team or event.
4. Press Select to Record this Game or Team.
5. Recording confirmation screen will appear.
The Auto Record Extension will appear next to game you want to record. Let's keep in mind, this feature is available for qualified events

It's automatic. But it's not 100% perfect. Recommend setting a recording of the next show just to be safe.
