DIRECTV Stream Local Channels
Does DIRECTV Stream have any plans to eliminate the requirement for a static IP address to maintain Local Channels? Very frustrating and had to change streaming service to get local channels. Would like to go back to DIRECTV Stream if this issue is resolved.

All other streaming services have no problem with Dynamic IP addresses. Switched to Hulu and have had no problems with the local channels.

Changing IP addresses shouldn’t impact locals - just the number of supported streams - since I didn’t think they use geolocation any more. So I’m not sure why the OP is seeing this problem.
ISPs who do change IP addresses a lot usually do so because of address limitations and won’t change that behavior just because you ask.

I’m going by what I was told by DIRECTV Stream support. The reason I kept losing local channels and regional sports was because I did not have a static IP address. Never have changed locations from my residence.
