DIRECTV stream randomly switching to Netflix while watching List

While watching taped items on my List, if I pause what I’m watching when I hit play again the system will sometimes have randomly gone to the Netflix app. Then I have to go back to the DIRECTV Listand find what I was watching in order to continue it.  I’ve confirmed that I haven’t hit anything wrong on the remote. Anyone else having this problem?  Suggestions on how to fix?

My box sometimes does this. Mine goes to youtube when paused. Hit the apps button on your remote--and force quit netflix using the 3 dots on your remote. That fixes it for me.

If you are using your Samsung TV to stream Directv Stream it could be an issue with the app that is on your TV as it has known issues and continues to have ongoing problems that have not been fixed.  I would recommend getting an external device to stream your Directv such as a Roku, Firestick, Directv Streaming Box, etc...

My DTV stream boxes do the same thing. I pause the recording, or even sometimes pause live, and when I come back after a few minutes, it’s gone to Hulu, Paramount, plus, Netflix, and others.  It does it often enough to classify as really aggravating.

@janice805 Do you notice the app that pops up is usually the last app you used? The problem is--a lot of apps don't have exit buttons or prompts. Just go to the apps button on your remote and hit the three dots on the Dtv Stream remote---force quit the last app you used. That fixes it for me until they fix the glitch

Most of the time it seems it is the last app I used. But sometimes it just opens up apps like YouTube, or Amazon prime that I don’t use at all. It even switches to an app when I’m in the middle of fast forwarding a program. I really wish they’d fix this because there’s other problems with the box also that they need to fix.

Just force quit the first 3 or 4 apps in your list after hitting the apps button on the remote. Solved it for me.

Well, it happened again just now. I was fast forwarding through a commercial on a recorded program and the screen went black. Then peacock opened. This happens every day and I just don’t get it.
