DIRECTV Stream - Regional Sports - two locations

I'm in Southern CA and my son is away part of the year in Northern CA for college.  When my son logs in to our account to stream in Northern CA he would like the choice to watch the regional sports channels in that area, but he appears to be limited to Los Angeles channels.  Is there anyway to adjust this, so when he is at school he can enjoy the regional sports in that area?

Nope. Your regional sports are determined by the home location of DIRECTV STREAM. There is not a way to be able to receive multiple regional sports under one zip code (the zip code of your home location).

As noted, there is no way to control which RSNs you get when at an alternative location.  However, which you get actually depends on the device.  Mobile devices (phones and tablets) track with the physical location, so would get the RSNs at the alternate place.  Roku and FireTV devices don't provide accurate location information, so apparently are always assumed to be at the home location.  (I have personally seen that with FireTV.)  There are mixed reports about the behavior of the DirecTV brand streamer, none particularly authoritative, so until I see some better info, I couldn't say which RSNs it would offer.  I am similarly unsure about AppleTV - I haven't seen any reports, but it generally has accurate location info, so could behave either way.  I also haven't seen reports about (and haven't personally tried) a laptop, but they generally don't have accurate location info.
